Overview

This addon provides the player with the ability to specify four extra pieces of name-related information about themselves, which will be shared with and displayed to other users of the addon. The extra bits of information are: "real" name, which will supplant your actual name; nickname, which will appear in quotation marks after your real / actual name; surname, which will appear at the end of your full name; and title, which will appear on the second line in the tooltip. All of these fields are optional. The configuration interface ("/cnames config") provides an intuitive method of changing this data, as well as several other options, including the ability to completely block the display of any of the extra data in your UI. There are also "fontstring override" fields on this screen, into which you can type the names of fontstring objects belonging to custom unit frames, to allow the extra data provided by this addon for each unit to be displayed there instead of in the default UI's unit frames. Also available is a player browser ("/cnames browse"), through the use of which you can view and, if necessary, block any other users of the addon with whom you've come into contact.
